Relevant Experience and Background

After 27 years in industry, I have a broad range of experience in addition to my  training as a coach.


I have  lead large operational teams involving all aspects of a complex Supply Chain, I have lead project development and execution teams and have headed up the HSEQ function in a high risk industry. I have successfully lead a number of large transformation initiatives.

My Coaching Philosophy

I am  passionate about helping people to unlock their own potential in order to improve their own lives and performance. 


My coaching aims to help my clients learn rather than teaching them, while supporting them to become the competent and confident leader that they aspire to be.


I base my coaching on the following principles:

  • Each client is the expert in their own life or work
  • All the resources an individual needs to make a change are already within them. I am here to help you unlock them
  • There is no such thing as failure; just feedback from which we can learn and improve.
  • Our ability to change the way we perceive things is often more valuable than changing the content.
  • Take responsibility for how others respond to you. You can learn to improve your communication to get the response you desire.
  • A persons “truth” is true for them, even if it differs from yours.


What we do.

As your coach I commit to work respectfully and confidentially with you to support you to explore your strengths and weaknesses while providing you new perspectives and alternatives. 


I will help you maintain your focus on your goals and provide challenge, accountability and encouragement.


I will do this by

  • Fully understanding what it is YOU want to achieve. What I want is irrelevant
  • Helping YOU to discover things about yourself by asking questions, listening to your words and observing your tone and body language
  • Encouraging YOU,  accepting YOU and exploring with YOU your feelings, perceptions, concerns, beliefs and ideas.
  • Understanding your issues but helping YOU to find the solutions
  • Allowing you to vent without judgement so that progress can be made
  • Promoting the testing of strategies. Not all of them will work for you.
  • Helping YOU to develop a plan with measurable and attainable goals and holding YOU accountable for the actions.
  • Being there for YOU when you needsupport

One-on-One Coaching - How does it work?

Our One-on-One confidential coaching sessions may be direct engagement for an individual or may be part of a broader Leadership development program.


Coaching sessions are normally 1 hour duration and will normally start weekly, progressing to fortnightly and then monthly. Our standard programs are normally 3, 6 or 10 sessions but I am happy to  customise this to meet your individual needs.


This flexible approach means we are able to use a range of formats for our coaching sessions to fit your busy schedule. Whilst I do like our first meetings to be face to face, most others we can do by video conference or phone. We can also work outside of your business hours if required.
